# Emit one routine step trace to Better Stack.

> Emit one routine step trace to Better Stack.

A step is one process or snippet execution within a routine run. The Run ID
joins it back to the Routine Logs row in Notion; the actor names which
    piece emitted it.

run_id: the run's Run ID, generated once at run start
actor: the emitting piece. Equals its cookbook key, never the routine
    routine: which routine ran
    cadence: which cadence fired
status: ok, partial, failed, or skipped
notes: what it did, counts, what went wrong. Optional.

    Returns a JSON string:

      * ``{"status": "ok"}`` when Better Stack accepted
      * ``{"status": "error", "error": "..."}`` on validation failure or
Better Stack error. Never includes the source token.

title: SageScreen — MCP Tool Catalog
  description: >-
Agent-callable tools exposed by the SageScreen MCP server at
    `https://mcp.sagescreen.net`.

These are the same tools served over the Model Context Protocol; this
reference documents their **REST** surface (`POST /tools/{name}`, body = the
tool's arguments), which is what the playground below invokes. The live,
    machine-readable catalog is `GET /tools/list`.

**This page is generated deterministically** from the server's tool registry
    (`apps/docs/scripts/generate_mcp_spec.py`), not hand-written and not
AI-generated — it cannot drift from the shipped tools.

All calls authenticate with the `X-Service-Token` header (or `?token=`).
